About Nemaska Lithium
Emplois Compétences was mandated by Nemaska Lithium to conduct recruitment. We are primarily recruiting for positions at the Whabouchi mine site (Baie-James) and Shawinigan (Mauricie).
Nemaska Lithium intends to become a major producer of hydroxide and lithium carbonate based in Quebec, thanks to its proprietary methods for producing a superior quality lithium salts compound. Nemaska Lithium is developing one of the world’s largest spodumene deposits, both in volume and content. The spodumene concentrate produced at the Whabouchi mine will be transported to its hydrometallurgical plant in Shawinigan. There, the spodumene concentrate will be processed into hydroxide and high purity lithium carbonate, intended for the growing market of lithium batteries. The estimated life of the spodumene Whabouchi deposit is estimated at 33 years.
Nemaska Lithium mining and factory projects were designed to minimize potential environmental and social impacts. For Nemaska Lithium, any development must be achieved not only to promote the economic prosperity of the community which welcomes it, but also responsibly, both socially and environmentally. Nemaska Lithium is committed to working with local communities, promoting employment and acquiring local goods and services in order to maximize the economic benefits to these communities. The environment, health and safety is already and will remain the foundation of our actions.
